Our Story

Here at Little Learners NYC, we believe that each child should be treated as an individual and different learning styles should be celebrated. We also believe that learning has to be fun for young kids and that worksheets don’t belong! Founded on these principles, Little Learners was established in 2018 as a tutoring business that seeks to bridge the gap between early age play-based learning and academic readiness. Co-founders and educators Donna Sheynfeld and Cortney Bowen’s goal is to motivate, guide, and inspire students of all ages to develop a love for learning through customized, interactive, fun game-based lessons.

Through their nearly 40-years of combined experience, Sheynfeld and Bowen have become leaders in the tutoring space, attracting a talented team of sixteen teachers and one in-house writer who assists parents and students with essays. The co-founders have also become resources for parents, teachers and educational institutions alike on how to interact, educate and inspire children in their academic and social growth. They have been tapped to speak on a variety of relatable topics across media and other platforms.
